Optical fiber cable joint closure FOSC-6J (144), also called fiber optic splice closure, is a box designed to provide space and protection for fiber optic cables spliced together.
This horizontal type terminal box is developed to splice and branch fiber optic cables on underground, aerial, wall-mounting, pole-mounting and duct-mounting routes during FTTX deployment.
Fiber optic joint box is like a flat case. This type of fiber splice closure is the most commonly used one in mounted aerials or buried underground. Horizontal fiber cable splice closure usually contains one or more fiber splice trays to provide space and protection for fiber optic splices. Fiber splice trays used in different fiber optic splice closures may have different designs and fiber counts.
