Jera has started to produce drop cable patch cords for our customers. Compare to common drop cables, drop cable patch cords was pre-terminated with SC/APC or SC/UPC which will save time and costs for FTTH line deployment.
Jera line has FTTH cable production line, which means our produced drop cables can be used for drop cable patch cords directly. That the reason why we have competitive price & better quality control compare to other companies, also we can customized cable configuration upon customer’s requirement flexibly.
We produce below fiber optic patch cords for our customers:
-Outdoor drop cable patch cord
Jera has officially launched independent production of pre-terminated drop cable patch cords, expanding our FTTH optical interconnection product portfolio to better satisfy one-stop procurement demands from global engineering contractors, system integrators, telecom operators and optical communication distributors. Traditional loose drop cables require on-site stripping, fiber splicing, connector assembly and testing during FTTH network construction, which consumes substantial labor hours, construction tools and on-site debugging costs. Our factory-finished drop cable patch cords are pre-terminated with SC/APC or SC/UPC connectors in-house before shipment, eliminating complicated field termination procedures. This mature pre-assembly solution greatly shortens overall wiring construction cycles, cuts labor expenditure and reduces on-site operation errors, bringing remarkable time and cost advantages for large-scale FTTH access network deployment, residential community fiber-to-home renovation, campus networking and commercial building weak current wiring projects.
Benefiting from our complete in-house FTTH drop cable manufacturing workshop and full-set dedicated production lines for flat drop cables, figure-8 self-supporting aerial drop cables and round structured optical cables, Jera possesses inherent industrial advantages to produce qualified drop cable patch cords internally. We do not purchase finished bare drop cables from third-party suppliers for subsequent connector assembly; all optical cable bodies used for patch cord production are extruded, structured and inspected within our own facility from raw fiber to finished cable. This integrated production mode enables us to maintain more competitive pricing compared with patch cord assemblers that outsource cable bodies. Meanwhile, full-process internal quality supervision covers cable extrusion, strength member alignment, sheath extrusion, connector crimping, fiber alignment, glue curing and final optical testing, delivering far stricter whole-process quality control and higher product consistency. Equipped with flexible customized development capabilities, our technical team can adjust structural parameters, connector types, mechanical indicators and packaging solutions flexibly according to clients’ special project specifications, regional construction standards and personalized ordering requirements, supporting both standard bulk orders and small-batch tailored development.
We systematically categorize our drop cable patch cord product lineup to match diversified application scenarios in access network engineering, covering three core mainstream types to meet different indoor and outdoor laying demands. The first type is distribution patch cords, widely adopted for cross-box connection, optical distribution frame jumper, splitter interconnection and node signal bridging inside communication cabinets, serving as key transition links between trunk optical cables and user-end drop wiring. The second type is indoor drop cable patch cords, optimized for indoor concealed wiring, wall embedding, ceiling routing and weak current pipeline laying inside apartments, office buildings and shopping malls, featuring compact structure, flexible bending performance and low-smoke flame-retardant characteristics to comply with indoor fire safety codes. The third type is outdoor drop cable patch cords designed for overhead pole mounting, wall surface aerial routing and external wall exposed wiring, equipped with tensile-resistant structural design and weather-proof outer sheath to resist long-term outdoor sunlight, rain erosion and temperature fluctuations.
All production activities for drop cable patch cords at Jera are carried out under the standardized management framework of ISO 9001 quality management system, with rigorous incoming material inspection implemented as the first barrier of quality control. Every batch of optical fiber, reinforcing components, sheath raw materials, connector housings, ferrules, adhesive and auxiliary assembly accessories will undergo sampling inspection for dimensional accuracy, material composition and performance indicators before entering production workshops, effectively preventing unqualified raw materials from flowing into manufacturing procedures. After connector termination, assembly and curing are completed, every single finished drop cable patch cord must go through professional insertion loss and return loss testing on dedicated optical testing equipment. Only products that fully meet specified optical attenuation and reflection performance thresholds can pass final inspection and be arranged for delivery, ensuring 100% qualified rate for all dispatched goods and avoiding signal instability, high attenuation or connection failure issues for end customers during actual use.
We provide abundant configurable options to accommodate diverse engineering design requirements on fiber core, cable structure, reinforcement components, sheath material, finished length and customized modifications. For optical fiber cores, we supply telecom-grade G657A1, G657A2 and G.652.D single-mode fibers; G657 series boasts outstanding anti-bending property suitable for frequent bending and narrow-space wiring, while G.652.D remains the most cost-effective choice for conventional long-distance signal transmission. In terms of cable outer structure, three mainstream forms are available: flat drop cable, figure-8 self-supporting aerial cable and round optical cable. Multiple reinforcement materials can be selected to satisfy different tensile and compression resistance demands, including high-strength steel wire, non-metallic FRP reinforcing rod, tensile aramid yarn and PBT structural reinforcement parts. As for outer sheath material, LSZH low-smoke zero-halogen sheath is prioritized for indoor fire-rated occasions, while wear-resistant, UV-stabilized TPU sheath fits harsh outdoor exposure environments. Standard finished lengths we regularly stock and produce include 20m, 25m, 30m, 40m, 50m, 60m, 75m, 100m, 125m, 150m, 200m, 250m, 300m and 500m. Beyond standard specifications, we accept fully customized length, connector configuration, cable structure and packaging solutions based on customer drawings and technical requests.
Our pre-terminated drop cable patch cords comply with internationally recognized product certification and industry specification requirements, including RoHS environmental compliance directive, EU CE market access certification and IEC-60794-1-21 international optical cable product standard, facilitating smooth customs clearance, project bidding and market access across Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and other global regions. To guarantee independent verification of product reliability without relying entirely on third-party testing institutions, Jera has built a fully equipped in-house laboratory with complete testing instruments for mechanical, environmental and optical performance verification. Our lab is capable of conducting a full range of professional tests independently, such as high-low temperature humidity cycling test to examine structural stability under extreme climate variation, tensile strength test to verify pulling resistance during cable laying, flame retardant and fire resistance test to assess sheath fire safety performance, as well as fiber core reflection and attenuation testing to monitor long-term optical transmission stability. Regular batch sampling tests are executed during mass production to continuously optimize production processes and maintain stable product performance.
Focusing on stable quality, competitive pricing, flexible customization and reliable after-sales technical support, Jera dedicates to becoming a trusted supplier of pre-terminated FTTH drop cable patch cords for global communication industry partners.
