Bare steel PLC splitter 1×4 also called PLC bare fiber splitter is a network component used to instributes incoming light power in equal parts towards multiple output fibers, widely used in FTTx line deployment.
PLC splitters provide a cost-effective and space-saving network solution in optical transmission systems. Bare fiber optic PLC splitters have no fiber optic connectors and can be spliced with fibers in distribution cables and drop cables. As a passive optical splitter, bare fiber PLC splitter is widely used in FTTH passive optical network, including EPON (such as EPON splitter) and GPON (such as GPON splitter).
