Technical specification

Optical adapter generally consists of three parts:

Two fiber terminations
One coupler

Two optical fiber terminations connect the two optical fiber tail ends. The coupler acts as a bushing.

SC (Standard Connector) : The standard square joint is made of engineering plastic, which has the advantages of high temperature resistance and not easy to oxidize.

APC: Polished at an 8-degree angle.

PC: Joint section is flat.

The casing is usually made of wear-resistant, dustproof, and waterproof materials. The connection interface is usually made of ceramic. This design protects internal components from the external environment, ensures stable fiber connection and reduces optical signal loss.

Adapters sometimes also include some auxiliary parts, such as sealing rings, locks, etc., to cope with complex environments.
